Yesterday (1/4/260 was a busy one for the GrowAbility Group. We experimented with the trending Seed Snail method to plant four types of Heritage Tomato seeds—huge thanks to Audley End House and Gardens kitchen garden for the donation of the saved seeds to Dig It Community Allotment! This method saves compost and builds incredibly strong roots, so we’re expecting big things for the plot.
Our gang really enjoyed doing this - how to round off our day? Our harvest and taste session!
We’re currently harvesting vibrant pea shoots that were planted a few weeks ago by the @cafecornell students. They were the perfect, fresh addition to out classic Ploughman’s lunch. There’s truly nothing better than eating what you’ve grown together! Thanks as ever to Elsenham Lodge 8973 for supporting this project.
