Deputy Project Leader

Saffron Walden Mencap Society provides social activities, clubs, trips and events for our members who are all adults and young people with learning disabilities. 

​

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to work as Deputy to our Project Leader at our very popular Side by Side Club. 

​

The successful candidate* will help the Project Leader to plan, prepare and deliver a range of activities creating a fun evening for our members, assisted by a small team of volunteers.

​

Experience of supporting people with learning and/or physical disabilities, or working in the social care sector will be an advantage, but is not essential for the right candidate. 

​

Employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references. Safeguarding training is required and this will be provided. 

​

Normal hours of work  - Wednesdays 6:15pm - 8:45pm. 

​

Current rate of pay £11.50 p.h.

​
