GrowAbility at Audley End: Wednesday 8th July 2026

It was another wonderful GrowAbility session this week, although the soaring temperatures meant it was simply too hot to spend the day working on the plot. Instead, we enjoyed a fantastic visit to Audley End House and Gardens, making the most of a day exploring somewhere a little cooler.
As the group visited the laundry rooms, the members had great fun dressing George in the Victorian costumes. He certainly looked the part!
Noah, Barry and Julie were fascinated by the taxidermy displays, spending lots of time taking in all the fascinating exhibits.
Meanwhile, Charis impressed everyone by sharing a wealth of knowledge about the history of the house, bringing many of the dairy and kitchen rooms to life as we explored.
Although we missed getting our hands dirty in the garden this week and lifting heavy watering cans, it was lovely to enjoy a change of scenery and make the most of everything Audley End has to offer. Thank you to Lisa Harper for organising a lovely day out. We look forward to being back on the plot once the weather is a little kinder!
