It was another fantastic week at GrowAbility, and once again we managed to beat the heat by getting an early start with plenty of watering. Another amazing all hands on deck effort!
It was brilliant to welcome Freddie to the gang, who got stuck straight in and helped with the potato harvest. He even discovered a rather inventive way of digging them up…using a sandcastle technique!
We harvested and taste-tested lots of healthy loveliness from the plot, including some delicious carrots and ripe tomatoes. It’s always such a pleasure to enjoy the fruits of our hard work!
We also had a little mystery to solve when we discovered that some of our sweetcorn had been eaten. After a spot of detective work, it seems our old friend the badger may well be up to his tricks again!
Despite the soaring temperatures, it was another productive and enjoyable session, with everyone pulling together to keep the plot watered and thriving. A huge welcome to Freddie. We’re looking forward to seeing what we get up to next week!
