We had such a wonderful day at the plot today - harvesting butternut squash, broccoli, leeks, spring onions, lettuce, chilies, and peppers! We welcomed Tristan today - he was a natural helping on the plot straight away. Barry also helped Lisa Harper by chopping up waste vines to go into the compost heap.. it was soon time to start chopping, stirring and frying for our group healthy lunch. Everything in the stirfry was grown by us from seed nurtured and into the wok as soon as we harvested it! We talked about how healthy vegetables are from the shops but how they are extra healthy when they have just been picked. Another lovely day and we can’t wait until next week. Tristan picked some flowers for his girlfriend Julie, who arrives home from holiday tomorrow how romantic!
