It was wonderful to be back at GrowAbility this week after taking a break during last week's heatwave. It was a busy session with lots of members joining us. It was fantastic to see everyone back on the plots and ready to get stuck in!
We're becoming real professionals at watering, and with the warmer weather continuing, there was plenty to keep us busy. Alongside the watering, we harvested what feels like the never-ending crop of courgettes, as well as pulling plenty of fresh carrots from the ground. There were also lots of delicious yellow and red baby tomatoes ready for tasting, which everyone enjoyed sampling straight from the vine.
As always, there was a wonderful team spirit throughout the day, with everyone working together to keep the plots thriving while enjoying being back outdoors.
Not forgetting a very Happy Birthday to Esther and James, which we celebrated with some well deserved cupcakes.
Despite a minor dash for cover in a fleeting and very welcome downpour, it was another brilliant session! We look forward to seeing what we can achieve together next week.
