Another fabulous day at our GrowAbility Club - Dig It Community Allotment - the heat did not put us off!

Look at Lisa and the gang preparing the bed, sobbing holes, and planting the leeks which we grew from seed!

Today’s healthy eating project was beetroot - Matthew harvested some beautiful beetroot which was trimmed, scrubbed and sliced in a Jamie Oliver Recipes - beetroot carpaccio! We all sat together for lunch talking about the health benefits - heart, blood, blood pressure and gut health too! We think Jamie Oliver would approve of his local Saffron Walden Mencap Society project with Dig It Community Allotment.
