Cath Read and Dianne King had a ‘dream’!
A dream which they wanted to come true!
This dream was to give young people (age 16-25 with a disability) unique opportunities to engage in self-chosen social activities on a Friday evening. Enabling them to choose what they would like to do and who with. Just like peers of the same age.
With lots of hard work and long hours setting up the project, they were all set to get going with the pilot in early 2020. Fundraising, accepting donations, approaching families…COVID-19 had other ideas.
They continue to keep in touch with the families they are looking to support with the project and hope to get going soon!
