After our very exciting and successful performance on Saturday at Saffron Walden Community Day, we were straight back to work, rehearsing for an extra special performance in 2027!! Oh, it was lovely to be back again this evening, with all the windows and doors open, so that the local neighbourhood could hear our wonderful singing and playing!! Despite the disappointment of our weekend performance being postponed until September, we were back in fine spirits, continuing our quest to become the very best performers we can be. Our watching and listening skills have improved so much. They help us to know when to play our instruments, and when to use our voices. They also let us know when not to use them!! We love all the new pieces of music that Nicky is introducing us to! We tapped quietly on our tambourines to Kermit the Frogs wonderful Rainbow Song, we sang along beautifully to Hallelujah, and we showed off our Scottish dancing to Scotland the Brave!!! What we didn’t know when we started Magical Music Man Mondays with the marvellous Nicky New, was that not only would she inspire us to use our voices, learn to play lots of different instruments, and to gain the confidence to perform in public, but that she would also be looking after our physical well being by including an element of keep fit in our sessions!!
